Ismay Ozga is a multi-talented artist and illustrator currently living in the middle of England with her boyfriend and a kitten named Ruby. I’ve been a fan of her work for a while now, and was delighted when she agreed to collaborate. I sent over a selection of marble, crystal and layered brass pieces to which Ismay created a series of soft and inviting self-portraits and illustrations.

Hello there,
I’m back with another exchange to share, this time with the lovely Ashley from Fancy Fine. She has a great style blog regularly updated (I should take note) with vintage finds effortlessly translated into daily wear. Of course I was excited for the swap and she did not disappoint…

I was so excited when postman Andy dropped a book shaped package into my mail box last week. Eagerly awaited, I unwrapped the packaging to find drape drape, a Japanese pattern making book by Hisako Sato. I’ve been rather unmotivated to create my own patterns of late and this appears to be the perfect alternative.

Hello there,
I’m back from my holiday to Italy and feeling pretty inspired! I played tourist for 12 days around Florence and Tuscany with lots of walking, cramped car journeys and finally found time to devour Burnt Shadows by Kamila Shamsie. I don’t read nearly as much as I should.
Prior to my trip, I had been working on a collection heavily inspired by marble stone columns, grand Renaissance interiors and Romanesque carvings and sculpture. Italy has done well to fuel my fascination.
Read on for a short taster of my latest inspiration and development. Continue reading →
